Poll: USA less popular, but the election can change everything by Silvia Szarkova

“ People think the U.S. wants to run the world, “ said Andrew Kohut, president of Pew Research Center, which provided a-month-long poll in 24 countries this spring. The poll was released Thursday and brought some interesting statement about the opinion of other countries towards US. People globally think, that election is the best way for USA to heal the country´s policy towards the rest of the world. France, Spain and Germany are hopeful that a new president can improve a lot- those are the countries with the strongest voice against Bush policy in Iraq. India, Nigeria, Tanzania and South Africa also think the change in number one man can only help- those are the countries, which collaboration with US is not so intensive. According to Japan, Turkey, Russia, South Korea and Mexico the election cannot change significant and Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon have strong expectations the next president can only worse. Barack Obama is the number one candidate according to the majority- people of 20 countries expressed more confidence about him. His edge was the biggest in Western Europe, Australia, Japan, Tanzania and, of course, Indonesia, where Obama spent a little bit of his childhood. The two competitors were tied in U.S. Jordan and Pakistan, but U.S. Was the only country, where the majority expressed confidence towards McCain.Bad a kind of bad news for U. S. is also the fact that people participating the survey had a feeling that American slumping economy is hurtinh also their national countries, including Britain, Germany, France, Turkey and Japan. But that is not over- also 6 out of ten Americans think that their economy has an negative influence abroad. The survey was provided in 17 countries by the method of face to face, and by telephone in remaining seven, local languages was used.

Whether it was just coincidence or not, Ireland has prepared shocking turn out to all members of EU.On Friday 13th 3 million of Irish voters denied terrific years of negotiation, Lisbon Treaty, that should replace current European Constitution. However it seems, it won't happen that easily.Although national leading objectors apparently declare satisfaction, Irish Prime minister Brian Cowen would better pour himself into the boiling water, than to negotiate about the consequences.European representatives are meeting on summit in Brussel this week and they will clearly expect some solution layouts. They can be different.At first, European council should ignore Irish vote and carry on the ratification process. But, after Irish breaking point, the Treaty gains sort of impugnable and unfaithful image. No doubts, it will feed the riots troubled British Parliaments. Government of Gordon Brown will have to face the opponents attacks on the ratification process. Still the upcoming chairman of EU, France can reshuffle the situation. It was exactly the same nation who along with Dutchmen rejected the European Constitution in 2005.Tight pressure forecasts considerable delay, even political crisis. Indeed, there is always an option to repeat Irish election, but this would slow down the process at least for 1,5 year. Because of lack of supply from the Green Island, no one really believes in successful turn out.The third option could be – no treaty for the Union. In that case, the consequences would be more than visible. Experts forecast the consolidated impact of European Parliament, that should be reduced down to 739 (instead of current 785 and proposed 750 members). On Friday, the presidential candidate Barack Obama pronounced he wanted to raise payroll tax for incomes above $250.000 annually. This step should feel about only 3% of wealthiest Americans. He said it should protect the middle-class Americans who have to pay the Social Security tax from every cent while for those who have more bigger incomes it`s only a trivial amount.Now the payroll tax is 6.2% for those who earn up to $ 102.000 a year. Obama assured people the raising of the tax won`t affect wages between $102.000 and $250.000. Also Obama`s campaign aides said that this increase wouldn`t pique to those forms of income such as investment. It would be apply on wages and salaries.Obama`s contra candidate, John McCain now is against his decision, though in the past McCain would greet the higher payroll taxes. Obama consider the raising of tax as a facility to extend the life of Social Security. And it wouldn`t involve raising the retirement age or cutting benefits.Obama criticize McCain for his attitude to investing part of taxpayers Social Security payments into private investment accounts.McCain react to his expression that he won`t privatize the Social Security. He announced that he only wanted to give an opportunity for young workers to take their a few money of their tax and put it into their private account. He said that these saving to private accounts had to be voluntary and only for young workers. This his statement sustained as a chance for young workers to have more possibilities for investing.

Es ist lustig, dass ein Mensch nie zufrieden wird. Wenn man studiert, will man nicht so viele Hausübungen haben, Aufsätze schreiben und verschiedene Tests machen. Wenn man aber schon berufstätig ist, würde man lieber die Zeit zurückdrehen und Student als vorher bleiben. Viele berufstätigen Menschen würden gerne in die Vergangenheit zurückkehren, in die Zeit, wenn sie noch an Mittelschulen oder sogar Universitäten studierten. Und das nur aus einem Grund - wegen des Sommers! Wegen der Zeit, wenn nichts so wichtig wie Spaß und Relax ist! Seien Sie ehrlich zu sich - gibt es etwas Besseres als 2 Monate Freiheit? Natürlich nicht! O ja, ich bin so glücklich, dass ich noch immer Studentin bin! Aber um nicht so grausam gegenüber unseren "berufstätigen Helden" zu sein - eine oder zwei Wochen Urlaub mit der Familie ist auch nicht so schlecht. Vor allem wenn man feststellt, dass es auch solche gibt, die nicht so ein Glück haben - im Besonderen diesen Sommer. Ich rede von zwei Präsidentschaftskandidaten - Barack Obama und John McCain.Vielleicht waren ein paar Leute auch neidisch auf ihre Position in der Politik und auf die Popularität, die mit den Präsidentschaftswahlen zusammenhängt. Wenn man sich aber ihre Pläne für den Sommer besser anschaut, stellt man fest, dass man sie gar nicht zu beneiden braucht. Die ganzen 11 Wochen werden sich diese zwei Männer und alle ihre Mitarbeiter auf den 4. November vorbereiten müssen. Sie werden sich auf die Wahllandkarte konzentrieren müssen, was eigentlich heißt, sie werden sich bemühen, möglichst viele Staaten mit Wahlstimmen zu behalten. Einfacher gesagt - es wird ein Krieg sein.Ein anderer Punkt auf der Liste der Sommeraufgaben ist, einen sogenannten Vizekandidaten auszuwählen. Die Meinungen zu der Wichtigkeit der Wahl des Vizekandidaten unterscheiden sich. Einige Analytiker glauben nicht, dass diese Entscheidung das Ergebnis der Wahlen beeinflussen könnte. Andererseits ist Obama überzeugt, es sei eine wichtige Entscheidung. Eine andere Aufgabe - und ich würde sagen eine schwere Aufgabe - stellen die Einschätzung und Abgrenzung des Opponenten dar. Während sich Obama als eine Person ausgibt, die Veränderung bringen würde, hält ihn McCain für unerfahren und naiv. Obama mit seiner Jugend hat größere Chancen auf Erfolg. Ein anderes Problem auf dem Plan für den Sommer dieser Präsidentschaftskandidaten ist der Punkt "Geldanschaffung". Mehr Geld - mehr Möglichkeiten, sich zu visualisieren. Na ja, einige von uns werden einen wirklich schlimmen Sommer haben, würde ich sagen.

A mucha gente trabajadora le gustaría ir al pasado, a la edad cuándo eran estudiantes en las escuelas secunadrias o aún en la universidad, solamente debido a una cosa - el verano! ¡El tiempo cuándo nada es tan importante como la diversión y el descanso! Esté honesto - existe algo mejor que tener 2 meses de libertad? ¡Claro que no! ¡Sí, estoy tan feliz que soy todavía un estudiante! Pero para no ser tan cruel a nuestro " héroes trabajadores " - teniendo una o dos semanas con su familia, no es tan malo. Especialmente cuando nos damos cuenta de que todavía hay algunos que no tienen tanta suerte - sobre todo este verano. Hablo sobre dos candidatos al presidente - Barack Obama y John McCain.Tal vez algunos de ustedes le envidiaron, debido a su posición en la política y la popularidad conectada con las elecciones presidenciales, pero si ustedes lo miráis más de cerca veréis que su verano será malísimo! El período entero de 11 semanas estos dos tipos y toda la gente que trabaja con ellos tendrán que prepararse para el 4 de noviembre. Tendrán que controlar el mapa electoral que en realidad quiere decir que tratarán de sostener los estados con tantos votos electorales como es posible. Dicho en una palabra - será una guerra. Otra cosa en sus listas de asuntos para este verano es escoger al candidato a la vicepresidencia. Las opiniones en la importancia de escoger a un candidato a la vicepresidencia son diferentes. Algunos analistas no creen que esta opción podría tener alguna influencia en los resultados de las elecciones, por otra parte Obama piensa que es la decisión muy importante. Otro, y yo diría muy duro serán los intentos de convencer a los oponentes. Mientras Obama presenta a sí mismo como una persona que traerá un cambio, McCain le ve como un candidato inexperto e ingenuo. Obama tiene más posibilidades para acercarse a los jóvenes. After June, 3, when Barack Obama passed 2118 delegate mark and became the Democratic presumptive nominee, political struggle between him and Republican John McCain, who remained last two candidates, is getting sharper and sharper. As November (and the day that will decide) approaches, both candidates for the post of successor of George Bush are trying to present themselves from as beneficial view as possible and at the same time, they do their best to defeat their rival. That doesn't only mean talking about advantages their own plans, but also pointing at worse sides, sometimes even attacking plans of their opponent. It is not enough to concentrate on your own aims, first you have to do detailed analysis of goals of the second candidate and consequently you should represent everything what he is not and vice versa. Variety is simply good. Candidates had better present their opinions in the most visible way, possibly the most aggressive and make their ideas sound more important than they actually are. Accusing the opponents of not trying to bring the best to the nation is not out of the question. At the same time, nominees must act most politely and be on the best terms with their rivals.A bit confusing, to attack and accuse along with being polite and friendly. An incredibly tough work for both candidates. I wouldn't change with them. Maybe the reason is that I am not ambitious enough, I don't understand politics, economy and all the things required and the fact that is not so irrelevant is that I am too young. But if everybody had the same attitude, there would hardly be some politicians and presidential candidates. That could mean abolishing all elections. And that would conclusively lead to simplifying our lives.(Don't take this too seriously.)

Po tom, ako si Barack Obama 3. júna zabezpečil 2118 delegátov, čo je počet potrebný na jeho nomináciu demokratickou stranou na post prezidenta USA, sa politický boj medzi ním a republikánom Johnom McCainom, zostávajúcimi dvoma kandidátmi stále zostruje. Ako sa november (a tiež deň, ktorý to nakoniec celé rozhodne) približuje, obaja kandidáti na post nástupníka Georga Busha sa snažia prezentovať v čo možno najpriaznivejšom svetle a súčasne obaja robia maximum, aby porazili svojho rivala. To neznamená len rozprávanie o výhodách ich vlastných plánov, ale aj poukazovanie na horšie stránky, niekdy dokonca útočenie na plány ich oponenta. Nestačí sa koncentrovať na svoje vlastné ciele, prvé, čo musíš spraviť je detailná analýza zámerov druhého kandidáta anásledne je treba predstavovať všetko, čo on nie je a naopak. Rozmanitosť je jednoducho dobrá. Kandidáti by mali predkladať svoje názory čo najočividnejším spôsobom, snáď aj čo najagresívnejším a dokázať, aby ich názory zneli dôležitejšie ako v skutočnosti sú. Obviňovanie protivníkov z toho, že sa nepokúšajú priniesť národu len to najlepšie, nie je vylúčené. Súčasne musia kandidáti konať čo najslušnejšie a byť v priateľskom styku s ich súperom.Trochu mätúce, útočiť a obviňovať spolu so slušnosťou a priateľstvom. Neuveriteľne ťažká práca pre oboch kandidátov. Ja by sa som s nimi rozhodne nemenila. Možno je dôvodom to, že nie som dosť ambiciózna, nerozumiem sa politike, ekonomike a ostatným potrebným veciam a fakt, že nie som dosť stará, tiež nie je úplne nepodstatný. Ale keby mal každý rovnaký prístup, len sotva by sa našli nejakí politici a prezidentskí kandidáti. To by mohlo znamenať úplné zrušenie volieb. A to by v konečnom dôsledku viedlo k zjednodušeniu našich životov. (Toto neberte príliš vážne.)

Whether it was just coincidence or not, Ireland has prepared shocking turn out to all members of EU.On Friday 13th 3 million of Irish voters denied terrific years of negotiation, Lisbon Treaty, that should replace current European Constitution. However it seems, it won't happen that easily.Although national leading objectors apparently declare satisfaction, Irish Prime minister Brian Cowen would better pour himself into the boiling water, than to negotiate about the consequences.European representatives are meeting on summit in Brussel this week and they will clearly expect some solution layouts. They can be different.At first, European council should ignore Irish vote and carry on the ratification process. But, after Irish breaking point, the Treaty gains sort of impugnable and unfaithful image. No doubts, it will feed the riots troubled British Parliaments. Government of Gordon Brown will have to face the opponents attacks on the ratification process. Still the upcoming chairman of EU, France can reshuffle the situation. It was exactly the same nation who along with Dutchmen rejected the European Constitution in 2005.Tight pressure forecasts considerable delay, even political crisis. Indeed, there is always an option to repeat Irish election, but this would slow down the process at least for 1,5 year. Because of lack of supply from the Green Island, no one really believes in successful turn out.The third option could be – no treaty for the Union. In that case, the consequences would be more than visible. Experts forecast the consolidated impact of European Parliament, that should be reduced down to 739 (instead of current 785 and proposed 750 members). There should be no stable Prime Minister and the Union should work according Nice's contract. What has happened is out of question, one step back for political life. But on the other way it only highlights the unpopularity of European Union in the eyes of ordinary Europeans. They feel, that the Union is in a way, chaotic mass of working positions, bureaucracy and imaginery obligations. Unfortunately they often make no good instead of opposite.

On Friday, the presidential candidate Barack Obama pronounced he wanted to raise payroll tax for incomes above $250.000 annually. This step should feel about only 3% of wealthiest Americans. He said it should protect the middle-class Americans who have to pay the Social Security tax from every cent while for those who have more bigger incomes it`s only a trivial amount.Now the payroll tax is 6.2% for those who earn up to $ 102.000 a year. Obama assured people the raising of the tax won`t affect wages between $102.000 and $250.000. Also Obama`s campaign aides said that this increase wouldn`t pique to those forms of income such as investment. It would be apply on wages and salaries.Obama`s contra candidate, John McCain now is against his decision, though in the past McCain would greet the higher payroll taxes. Obama consider the raising of tax as a facility to extend the life of Social Security. And it wouldn`t involve raising the retirement age or cutting benefits.Obama criticize McCain for his attitude to investing part of taxpayers Social Security payments into private investment accounts.McCain react to his expression that he won`t privatize the Social Security. He announced that he only wanted to give an opportunity for young workers to take their a few money of their tax and put it into their private account. Toto zvysenie by postihlo zhruba 3% najbohatsich Americanov.Povedal tiez, ze zvysovanie by malo ochranit najma strednu vrstvu obyvatelov, ktory teraz platia do Fondu socialneho zabezpecenia dan z kazdeho centu, ktory zarobia, a pre tych, co zarabaju omnoho viac, je to len zanedbatelna ciastka z ich prijmu.V sucasnosti je dan z prijmu 6.2% pre tych, ktori zarabaju do 102.000 dolarov rocne. Obama uistil ludi, ze zvysovanie dani nepostihne tych, ktorych rocne prijmy sa pohybuju v rozpati 102.000 az 250.000 dolarov. Taktiez Obamovi poradcovia pre kampan povedali, ze zvysovanie by sa nedotklo takych prijmov, ktore plynu z investovania. Či už, to bola zhoda náhod, alebo nie, minulotýždňový piatok trinásteho Írsko nahlas povedalo svoje NIE. Nie pre Lisabonskú zmluvu, dlhoročné nádeje a komlikované rokovania európskych komisárov. Lisabonská zmluva, ktorú musí schváliť všetkých 26 členov Únie, mala pôvodne nahradiť súčasne platnú Európsku Ústavu. To sa však vďaka 3 miliónom voličov 'zeleného ostrova', nestane tak skoro.Hoci národní odporcovia dokumentu zjavne preukazujú spokojnosť nad rozhodnutím občanov, ťažké časy nastávajú pre írskeho premiéra Briana Cowena. Zdá sa, že by bolo jednoduchšie vkročiť do jamy levovej, ako rokovať o dôsledkoch prešľapu svojej krajiny.Tento týždeň sa totiž v Brusseli koná summit predstaviteľov členských krajín, ktorí budú nepochybne očakávať návrhy riešenia.Tie môžu byť rôzne.Po prvé, Európa sa bude tváriť, že sa nič nestalo a bude pokračovať v ratifikácii ďalej. Avšak po piatkovom zlome aj samotná zmluva stráca imidž nespochybniteľnej a dôveryhodnej deklarácie. Írske zamietnutie bezpochyby nahrá do karát opozíci v britskej Snemovni Lordov. Tá by o zmluve mala rokovať práve tento týždeň. Zamiešať karty by mohlo tiež Francúzsko, ktoré o dva týždne preberie predsedníctvo Únie. Veď napokon, boli to práve Francúzi, ktorí v roku 2005 spolu s Holanďanmi odmietli návrh európskej ústavy.Napätá situácia predpovedá značné prieťahy, ba až politickú krízu.Prirodzene, stále sa naskytá možnosť, aby Íri referendum zopakovali, avšak za súčasnej podpory a nálady v krajine, nikto, ba ani samotný premiér Cowen, nepredpokladá, že by došlo k zmene výsledku. Opakované úspešné referendum by spomalilo proces o takmer 18 mesiacov. Treťou možnosťou by mohlo byť úplné odmietnutie zmluvy, čo by však malo značné dôsledky. Experti predpokladajú, že by došlo k posilneniu práv Európskeho Parlamentu, pričom by sa samotný počet poslancov zredukoval zo súčasných 785 na 739 členov. Takisto by to znamenalo, že parlament by nemal žiadneho stáleho premiéra a Únia by musela fungovať podľa starej Nicejskej dohody.Čo sa stalo v piatok je bezpochyby politickým krokom späť. Avšak na druhej strane Írsko len podčiarklo všeobecnú nespokojnosť na margo Európskej Únie a jej predstaviteľov. Okrem voľného cestovania a otvorených pracovných trhov, väčšina bežných Európanov vníma EU ako chaotický kolos pracovných pozícií, byrokracie a nezmyselných, lobistických nariadení. A tie sú mnohokrát na míle vzdialené od tolerantného, regionálneho riešenia.Európa naša svätá...

Those of you who remember the American presidential elections from 2000 must know the name of Al Gore. This 60 years old American former politician is more that this. He is environmental activist, author and businessperson, and in the mentioned year he was the Democratic nominee for president. Even he won the popular vote he didn't become a president, and I afford to say that he was lucky. This guy made a lot of work even if he wasn't sitting in the White House and signing plenty of papers. His name is connected especially with fights against the global warming. His efforts to build up better knowledge among people about climate change and efforts to work for foundations which are needed to counteract these changes lead to the Nobel Peace Prize. I don't have to say how popular he must be not only among Democrats but among people of the United States in general. Now imagine you have this kind of person alongside.Al Gore's appearance on presidential campaign on Monday leads to lot of questions. One of them is connected with need to choose a running mate. People around are curious if Obama chose Al Gore for his running mate, or not, and honestly I am a bit curious too. According to Associated Press report Obama was asked by voter to consider also this possibility. And when we count 2 and 2, it wouldn't be such a bad idea at all. Of course there is also a question what will Al Gore say about it. Some people think he is really happy now & when he is out of this political machinery and doing something really helpful and appreciated worldwide. On the other hand some voices say that Al Gore has nothing to lose & if Obama wins or not. So the question if Gore take this chance into consideration is hanging above the American presidential elections.

Il est drôle qu'un homme ne puisse être jamais satisfait. Quand il fait ses études, il n'est pas content comme il doit faire beaucoup de dévoirs, écrir des essais et faire de divers genres d'examens. Mais quand il travaille il préférerait plutôt de se revenir et rester étudiant qu'il était avant. Un bon nombre de gens travaillants aimerait bien se revenir au passé, à l'âge quand ils étaient des étudiants au lycée ou même à l'université, juste en raison d'une chose - l'été ! Le moment où rien n'est aussi important que l'amusement et le répos ! Soyez honnêtes à vous-même - y a-t-il quelque chose meilleure qu'avoir 2 mois de liberté ? Naturellement pas ! Oh oui, je suis si heureux que je sois toujours un étudiant ! Mais pour ne pas être si cruel à nos « héros travaillants » - avoir une semaine ou deux de vacances avec une famille n'est pas mal non plus. Particulièrement quand nous imaginons - il y a des certains d'entre nous qui ne ont pas une chance pareille - particulièrement pas en cet été. Je parle de deux candidats présidentiels - Barack Obama et John McCain.Peut-être certains de vous leur envient leur position dans la politique et popularité liée aux élections présidentielles, mais quand vous les regardez plus attentivement vous découvrirez que leur été aspirera ! Pendant toute la période de 11 semaines ces deux types et toutes les personnes travaillant avec eux auront quoi à faire pour se préparer pour le 4 novembre. Ils devront rétrécir la carte électorale ce qui signifie réellement qu'ils essayeront de posséder autant d'états avec des voix électorales comme ils peuvent. Bien, dans un mot - ce sera une guerre. Une autre chose sur leur liste de sujets d'été est de choisir le prétendu compagnon courant. Les avis sur l'importance de choisir le compagnon courant sont diffèrents. Une partie d'analystes ne pense pas que ce choix pourrait avoir une influence sur les résultats des élections, d'une part Obama pense à lui en tant que décision très importante. Des autres, et je dirrais que très endurcis soient les essais de définir des adversaires. Tandis que les portraits d'Obama lui-même en tant que personne qui apportera un changement, McCain voit et lui dessine comme inexpérimenté et naïf. Obama a une plus grande chance d'être réussi avec sa jeunesse. Un autre problème qui est sur le plan d'été de ces candidats présidentiels est une question « multiplier de l'argent ». Barack Obama is supported by Hillary Clinton's backers as she lost her nomination in a presidential primary process. They are disappointed by it, they think it wasn't fair, but they don't have another possibility as to support Barack Obama. They back him literally and figuratively. Few weeks ago some top Democrats were working against him, to deny his nomination, but now it is different. They want support him. The situation in pre-election battle is changing rapidly and so the attitudes to candidates on President. North Carolina Gov. Mike Easley changed the mind, too and says that he will be rather at the end of Obama supporters than in the front of backers with John McCain. Another Clinton's backers join to the side of Obama. Clinton's Missouri state director, Rep. Rachel Storch, introduced Obama at a St. Louis fundraiser. Two Democratic governors, Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland and Gov. Ed Rendell who were crucial Clinton's backers, will appear with Obama. Ted Strickland will greet him in Columbus and Gov. Ed Rendell will join to them. The governors lent their considerable prestige and organizations to Clinton so now Democratic operatives now worry about Obama's chances in the battle. Ohio was crucial to President Bush narrow victory in 2004 over John Kerry. Some of former backers of Clinton are disappointed that Clinton will not become the party's first female nominee and they think that Obama has a lot of work to do. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz told reporters that many women are disappointed by loss of Clinton, but they will vote Obama because he supports abortion rights, quick end to the Iraq war and other important issues to them. The president of EMILY's List, Ellen R. Malcolm admitted keen disappointment at Clinton's loss. The women who supported Clinton were sad and there was some anger, too. But now, they will elect Obama to change the direction of their country.

Baraka Obamu podporujú Clintonovej prívrženci keďže stratila svoju nomináciu v prezidentskom primárnom procese. Après le 3 juin, quand Barack Obama a reçu de 2118 votes des délégués et est devenu le dénommé présumé démocratique, la lutte politique entre lui et le républicain John McCain, ce qui ont resté les deux derniers candidats, devient plus en plus pointue. Comme le mois de novembre (et aussi le jour qui décidera) s'approche, les deux candidats au poste du successeur de George Bush essayent de se présenter de la vue salutaire en tant que possible et en même temps, ils font leur mieux pour accabler leur rival. Cela signifie non seulement de parler des avantages de leurs propres plans, mais également de souligner les plus mauvais côtés, parfois même les plans attaquants leur adversaire. Il ne suffit pas de se concentrer sur vos propres objectifs, d'abord vous devez faire une analyse détaillée des buts de l'autre candidat et par conséquent vous devriez représenter tout ce qu'il n'est pas et à l'envers. La variété est simplement bonne. Les candidats ont du mieux présenter leurs avis dans la manière la plus évidente, probablement la plus agressive et rendent leurs idées parraître plus importantes qu'ils soient réellement. L'accusation de leurs adversaires de ne pas essayer d'apporter le meilleur à la nation n'est pas inadmissible. En même temps, les dénommés doivent agir le plus poliment et être aux meilleures conditions avec leurs rivaux. Un peu confondant d'attaquer et d'accuser tout en restant poli et amical. Un travail incroyablement dur pour les deux candidats. Je n'en changerais pas avec eux. Peut-être la raison est que je ne suis pas assez ambitieuse, je ne comprend pas la politique, l'économie et toutes les choses exigées et le fait qui n'est pas du tout non pertinent est que je suis trop jeune. Mais si tout le monde partageait la même attitude, il y aurait à peine quelques politiciens et candidats présidentiels. Cela pourrait signifier la suppression des toutes les élections. Et cela mènerait d'une manière concluante à simplifier nos vies.(Ne prenez pas ceci trop sérieusement.)

Každý človek má nejakú záľubu či koníčka. Niekto sa vyžíva v kulinárskych špecialitách, iný zasa venuje svoj voľný čas dobrovoľnej charitatívnej činnosti, móde, záhradničeniu alebo napríklad športu. A hoci sú voľnočasové aktivity jednotlivca výsostne súkromnou záležitosťou, neplatí to, pokiaľ ide osobu všeobecne známu či dokonca celebritu. Ostro sledované hobby rôznych väčších či menších hviezd a hviezdičiek výrazne dotvárajú celkový mediálny obraz osobností, nehľadiac na to, že sú štedrým zdrojom všadeprítomného bulváru, ktorý, priznajme si nás predsa len aspoň trochu zaujíma. Ak to teda zhrnieme, obyčajný športový tréning alebo umelecká činnosť môže v prípade známej osoby niesť vážnu správu či odkaz verejnosti, čo je, v dnešnej dobe ovládanej médiami naozaj užitočný nástroj, povedzme napríklad v politickej kampani.A tak to skrátka je aj v prípade už niekoľkomesačnej prezidentskej kampani Spojených Štátov. Historicky naozaj jedinečná, veď prvýkrát o kreslo v Bielom dome bojuje černoch Obama, žena Hilary a tradicionalistický, hoci predsa len mierne popletený McCain. Týmto vulgárnym elementarizovaním, sa nesnažím byť ani trochu diskriminujúcou alebo rasistickou. Naopak, využívam hlas najdostupnejšieho bulváru.Ak necháme Republikána McCaina bokom a zameriame sa na súčasnú situáciu medzi demokratickými kandidátmi, zdá sa, že Hillary, po výhre v Pennsylvánskych primárkach konečne vyrovnala dlhodobý, i keď mierny náskok Illinoiského senátora Barracka Obamu. Po tejto udalosti, obaja začínajú opäť od nuly. I keď to jednoznačne oslabuje posty oboch Demokratov, pred ktorými McCain sebavedome beží v ústrety augustovej cieľovej rovinke.Na posledné správy o senátorovi Obamovi reagujem s miernym úsmevom a komentárom v zmysle – dobre premyslenej a vtipnej kampane. Keď už nie politikou, tak teda športom.Na konci bojového avšak elegantného zápasu, ktorý sa konal v Pittsburghskom YMCA centre Obama na otázku daľšieho politického vyjadrenia odpovedal s mäkkým a spoteným úsmevom:"Politické vyjadrenie? Ách, ja skrátka milujem túto hru." Naozaj, každý má to svoje. Ronald Reagan bol napríklad populárnym hercom, bez akéhokoľvek politického vzdelania A len tak pre zaujímavosť, Obama nie je jediným športovým politikom v Amerike. Kenndy miloval ragby a Nixon zasa kolky. Náš bývalý premiér pestoval triatlon a súčasný prezident bol úspešným Djom.

Der Kampf um die Staatsoberhauptschaft in den Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika geht weiter. Vor einigen Tagen fanden die letzten zwei Schlachten zwischen den demokratischen Konkurrenten in North Carolina und Indiana statt. Beide Kandidaten, Barack Obama wie auch Hillary Rodham Clinton gaben ihr Bestes, aber das Turnier war erbarmungslos. Das Ergebnis des Zweikampfes kann also nur bedingt eine Satisfaktion sein. Obwohl in Indiana dann doch Hillary Clinton das Rennen machte, gehörte des Sieg in North Carolina Barack Obama. Trotz vieler Negativa kann sich Barack Obama, wenn auch nur bedingt, wie ein Sieger fühlen. Mit einem Unterschied von nur zwei Prozent ist er also in Führung - denn in North Carolina gewann er mit 56 %, wärhend er in Indiana mit 48 % verlor. Und obwohl scih Obama seinen Sieg sicher gewünscht hatte, ließ er noch von Bekanntgabe der Auszählung hören, dass man hauptsächlich nicht vergessen sollte, dass er und Clinton beide Demokraten seien und es aus ihrer Sicht das wichtigste sei, John McClain außer Gefecht zu setzen.

Na tom zápandom fronte to vyzerá naozaj veľmi horúco, iste by povedal môj starý otec, keby ešte žil. Okrem katastrofickej situácie stúpajúcej ropy, ktorá začína dvíhať ceny benzínu aj u nás, inflácie sa Amerika zmieta v kontroverznej prezidentskej kampani.A to právom, veď je tu celý rad nevyriešených (negatívnych) problémov ticho plaziacich sa za kandidátmi, z ktorých sa už vyše roka kampane stali symboly, bábky, predmety vášnivých diskusií kritík. Vyzerá to tak, akoby Amerika svoju potlačované emócie vkladala to kritiky a takmer nekritického sústredenia sa na voľbu hlavy štátu.Snažiac sa zaujať objektívny postoj pri písaní tohto článku, musím predsa len vyjadriť obdiv až nadľudskej vytrvalosti a vôli vydržať extrémne mesiace napätej kampane. Pondelkové primárky v Indiane a Severnej Karolíne dopadli lepšie pre illinoiského senátora Barracka Obamu, ktorý si na svoje konto pripísal daľších 4 superdelegátov. A sú to práve oni, kto rozhoduje o straníckej nominácií. Zdá sa, že toto je aspekt, ktorý Hillary Clintonová podcenila.Zdá sa, že demokratickým kandidátom v novembrových voľbách bude nakoniec Obama.Pokiaľ ide o arizonského senátora Johna McCaina, je nutné priznať, že jeho mediálna podpora nie je zďaleka taká rozsiahla ako v prípade demokratických konkurentov.Pravdou je, že o jeho 'nemastnej neslanej' kampani nebolo už dávno počuť.A navyše musí čeliť neľutostnej kritike bývalého republikánskeho kongresmana Boba Barra.Barr, ktorý je v súčastnosti uprostred vlastnej kampane, ktorá by mu (paradoxne) mala priniesť miesto predsedu strany Liberálov sa vo verejnom televíznom vysielaní vyjadril, že v súčasnosti sa na horizonte neobjavuje žiaden kandidát, ktorý by dostatočne chápal význam konzervativizmu a základných pilierov americkej spoločnosti. Poukázal tiež, že ak v novembri McCain prehrá, bude to pravdepodobne pre tieto dôvody.Na druhej strane, pokračujúcu kampaň vedúceho Obamu sprevádza značný emocionálny nátlak.Média po celom svete pokračujú v diskusii, či tento nepochybne nadmieru inteligentný kandidát dokáže vo finálnom novembrovom zúčtovaní uspieť proti skupine bielych pracujúcich voličov.Nálepku 'elitár' dostal Obama potom, čo sa jeho kampaň značne dištancovala práve od tejto, ťažko ovplyvniteľnej triedy. Zdá sa, že rasová otázka v Amerike stále zohráva dôležitú úlohu.Možno práve preto nedokázal vyhrať primárky v žiadnom z väčších štátov. Ale ak by to on nedokázal, bola by toho schopná ona?Hilary Clintonová začala svoju kampaň s imidžom najostrieľanejšieho a najstabilnejšieho kandidáta s dobrým vystupovaním. A dostala sa skutočne ďaleko. Séria víťazstiev jej vyniesla status najobľúbenejšej ženy v Amerike. Avšak popularita v očiach verejnosti sa zákonite nerovná popularite v radoch tých, ktorí verejnosť zastupujú.Vzostup a pán Hillary Clintonovej môže byť (potenciálne) spätý s jej nadmerným sebavedomím a s odvážnymi vyhláseniami o tom, že je najvhodnešou kandidátkou pre Biely Dom.Faktom je, že svoju kampaň začala a vždy riadila jednou nohou z Bieleho Domu. Hillary Clintonová zamerala svoju energiu na svoje celkové víťazstvo, nie na víťazstvo vrámci strany.Pomaly ďalej zájdeš, vraví sa medzi ľuďmi po celé stáročia. Zdá sa, že senátor Obama pamätal na tieto slová, keď si na svoje konto postupne jeden za druhým pripisoval delegátske a superdelegátske hlasy. Boj o získanie postu prezidenta Spojených Štátov Amerických pokračuje. Pred pár dňami sa uskutočnili ďalšie demokratické primárne voľby v štátoch Indiana a Severná Karolína, ktoré boli zároveň aj poslednými bojiskami oboch konkurentov. Dvaja už dobre známy kandidáti, Barack Obama a Hillary Rodham Clintonová dali do oboch volieb to najlepšie čo mohli a boj bol skutočne neúprosný. Výsledok bol pomerne uspokojujúci. V demokratických primárnych voľbách v Indiane nakoniec zvíťazila Hillary Clintonová a vo voľbách v Severnej Karolíne vyhral pre zmenu Barack Obama. Napriek tomu však má Obama o trochu viac dôvodov na radosť a môže sa cítiť mierne vo vedení. Nad senátorkou Clintonovou vyhral v Severnej Karolíne pomerom 56 percent hlasov k jej 42 a v Indiane prehral iba o dve percentá, čo možno považovať za takmer žiadny rozdiel. Barack Obama sa k voľbám vyjadril v utorok večer a poznamenal, že bolo veľa ľudí tvrdiacich, že voľby v Severnej Karolíne budú znamenať bod zlomu. Obama sa však taktiež nechal počuť, že nech už je konečný víťaz primárnych volieb ktokoľvek, nemalo by sa zabudnúť, že rovnako ako on, aj senátorka Clinotnová sú obaja demokrati a najdôležitejšou vecou je nedovoliť Johnovi McCainovi riadiť politiku tohto mocného štátu.

Zwei gut bekannte Kandidaten Barack Obama und Hillary Rodham Clinton gaben in beiden Vorwahlen ihr Bestes ab und das Präsidentschaftsturnier war wirklich gnadenlos. Das Ergebnis dieses Kampfs kann relativ zufriedenstellend sein. In den Demokratischen Vorwahlen in Indiana gewann letztendlich Hillary Clinton und im Gegensatz dazu gewann Barack Obama in der Vorwahl im Staat North Carolina. Nichtsdestotrotz hat Obama ein bisschen mehr Gründe, um glüchlich zu sein und sich vielleicht als Sieger zu fühlen, oder zumindest als jemand, der in der Führung ist.
