Democrats start to worry that the long time running fight of nominations may decrease the chance of the party to win. Barack Obama and Hillary Clintom do not agree. Superdelegates are required to support a candidate who will win the primary contests. The question also is if delegates of Clinton from Florida and Michigan primaries will be able to participate in the convention vote. The most importatnt thing for Democrats is not to lose the general election. The Party of Democrats should not take any "decisions in the backroom" by the party elite. The Democratic Party punish delegates from Florida and Michigan because they were holding their votes before the date Feb. 5. It was announced by Nancy Pelosi, the House Speaker of the Democratic National Convention. But it should not be a big deal. Delegates of these states should not decite about the nominee. A candidate needs to have 2.025 delegates to win the democratic nomination. Barack Obama, a senator from Illinois, has 1.037 delegates. Hillary Clinton, wife of previous president of the U. S., has 953 Democratic National Convention democrates. These numbers came from an unofficial tally thegreenpapers.com. It is a nonpartisan Web site which is in charge of summary of election statistic. Almost 800 superdelegates are not counted. Clinton seems to lose her delegates. One of them Jonh Lewis, Georgia Congressman, who previously supported her wants to give his vote to Obama. And he is not alone. Now Obama is about 1 percent over Clinton in delegate count. Many of superdelegates are ready to support a person who will win the higher number of votes in primaries.

The capturing the presidency of The United States in 2008 is coming closer and closer. Politicians debate about the candidates who have the best chance to win. They are not the only ones, because voters of politic clubs conduct many debates too. But the main difference between politicians and voters is the way and their point of view how to consider qualities of the candidates. Republicans and Democrates usually have strong opinions about who will be the winner. While Republicans put greater emphasis on policy, Democrates think personal traits are more important. Attitudes of voters are naturally a bit different. They prefer candidates being honest, strong and decisive instead their likability. The Associated Press and Yahoo!News decided to make a survey around the whole country, which will be based on principal of tracking the opinions of the same people in the course of whole campaign. The interesting part of results will be the fact, how the opinions of the same people will through the campaign change. In general point of view of voters depends on their backgrounds, their employee, age, religion, other beliefs or further experience. In case the elections would happen these days, probably the most likable candidates between democratic voters would be Hilary Clinton, the second position would obtain Barack Obama and the third one would be John Edwards. On the other side for republican voters it would be like the first one Rudy Juliani, the secon would be Fred Thompson and the third would finish John McCain.

This will be held on January 8th 2008.There is always debate about setting the primary in the U.S. Historically it was New Hampshire that led the primaries across the country. Decision for the coming election was made; even the date seems very early, the first primary state for next year is Iowa though that set the date of the primary on the 3rd January 2008. All the candidates can get ready for the most important month in their lives. January, right after Christmas holidays and New Year celebration is going to be month of great opportunities, events, fulfilled expectations, felt dreams and the most wanted turning-point for the American federation. At the Labour Party conference this Monday, the new British Prime Minister made obvious the difference between him and Tony Blair. Dressed in a dark suit with a dark cravat keep a firm position and proved that Labour's advertising agency that coined the phrase Not Flash, Just Gordon was entirely true. He did his best in appearing as calm and relaxed like the former Prime Minister, so he opened the speech with a joke. It is hard indeed to rise to people's expectations and his cautions nature was revealed through his gag that despite the fact that received a generous ripple of applause, was more meaningful due to its substance than to its style and Hillary Burrage, a delegate from Liverpool in her 50s, confirmed it in a statement to AFP after the speech. Therefore lighthearted moments are not the best situations for Brown who handles them with a slight awkwardness. But nothing matters, because he's the long favorite of the Labour Party because of his ties with the party and the intellectual pedigree, while Blair although he was bemoaned for his lack of ideology by some activists that were alienated succeeded to win an unprecedented three elections for the party due to his approach to the people- he used to invite celebrities as guest speakers, such as U2 singer Bono, to conferences. Blair did not attend the conference because he was in New York as Middle East peace envoy. However, the new premier praised him among some others like John Smeaton, a Glasgow airport baggage handler who helped to stop an attempted car bombing just a few days after Brown become Prime Minister. Also Neil Kinnock, who led the party until 1992, was praised in the speech and despite the grin showed during Blair's memories; he managed to show only smiles this time. Brown might not be flash, but certainly knows to woo opposition voters for the upcoming election. He spoke in front of a blue backdrop, Conservative Party's colour, and stated that like all the people, even those belonging to other parties, he desires to defend and advance the British values. Until further actions from him, let's just not cry after what's gone and give the man a chance. Every person has his/her own charm. UK residents might miss Blair, but they will get accustomed with Brown, afterall both names start with the same letter, so it will be a smooth passage.

Giuliani said Friday before the National Rifle Association (N.R.A.), a group he called once to be extremist, that he supports the right to bear arms for individuals as he cites the court ruling, Parker v. District of Columbia, which says the Second Amendment gives citizens the right to own handguns. Interviewed by the Associated Press, he said that his views changed since the attacks on Sept. 11 which he said, "puts a whole different emphasis on what America has to do to protect itself." But after three years since the attacks he was still supporting gun control."I think, after Sept. 11 ╉ I mean I probably would have had the same impression before, I'm not sure ╉ but after Sept. 11, all that seemed much more powerful to me," Giuliani said.He said in front of the N.R.A. that as a mayor he had to take advantage of "every law and every interpretation of every law" to reduce crime in New York.Giuliani supports now the Second Amendment, as a candidate for the GOP nomination, seeking now the support of his fellow Republicans from the party, many of whom regard the Second Amendment right to bear arms as a fundamental issue."It is a very, very strong description of how important personal liberties are in this country and how we have to respect them," he said referring to the ruling, adding it "sort of maybe even did more to crystalize my thinking on the whole gun issue in light of Sept. 11."

This weekend at the University of South Carolina's football stadium in Columbia Oprah Winfrey told about 29,000 people that "we need Barack Obama". If you are a politician and your campaign is supported by the most powerful woman in this world you are on a half way to achieve your aim. When Oprah says that people should do something they just do it. When she says that something what you do is very bad than it's just bad. People love Oprah. So when she says that Americans should support Barack Obama you don't have to be a fortuneteller to know that they will. Even if some people say that Obama is not black enough or Hillary Clinton has some "dirt" on him. The numbers do not lie. And right now they are more favorable for Obama.Oprah said she has voted for as many Democrats as she has Republicans over the years. This time she said it was very personal. So from now it probably will not be about whose campaign is better and who wants the best for America, but who will be supported by Oprah Winfrey. I just hope that Oprah knows what she is doing. I'm sure she knows how powerful she is and that her opinion is some kind of a "law".

The latest subject approached on Thursday by presidential candidates is economy. Mostly both Democrats were attacking the Republican nominee, but there was an exchange of lines and allusion even between them. Both Barack Obama and Clinton referred to the credit and mortgage crisis and how they would improve things. Although the two Democrats had similar ideas, there were also different ones. Hillary Rodham Clinton proposed a retraining program for a new job in case problems might appear at the current job or just because it is good to have something else to count on. In addition, she would materialize Pell Grants, a program to extend federal aid for those willing to update their skills. If Obama is the target of her campaign spot as inappropriate for handling national security, John McCain is not prepared to handle the economical situation, especially due to his opposition against government intervention in the crisis created on the market of credit and housing. On the other side Obama, besides the same ideas that Clinton exposed, revealed other six included in the $30 billion stimulus package similar to that of his democratic rivalry. He picked on Clinton by making allusion to the Glass-Steagall Act signed by President Clinton that is to blame for the outdated bank regulation that don't match modern realities. Furthermore, he attacked openly McCain and added some improvements to his plan which he consider not good enough. Unfortunately, he was just listing some ideas without developing them and only with the mention that Fed should be more involved. And that was all Neera Tanden, Clinton's policy director needed to say he was just repeating the ideas of the New York's mayor without any fundament and McCain said that it is to talk from outside, but they should wait to face the real problems. There is a Romanian saying, the country is burning and the old lady is brushing her hair. It suits the situation of US nominees who are more preoccupied about the election itself than the fact that indeed the economy is on the verge of regression.

Breaking news in all the American medias, Barack Obama, a potential Democratic nominate for the presidential elections in the U. S. is going to be supported by the Pennsylvania Sen, Bob Casey. Casey, the first & term senator of state Pennsylvania, member of Democratic party with a strong conservative views on abortion and other social issues, has just decided to join Obama's campaign across Pennsylvania. While Casey is Catholic and the senator of a state with more than 30% Catholic population, Obama is accused to have a "Catholic problem". With his liberal opinion on abortion and even homosexual marriages, it might be nearly impossible for him to beat Clinton among Catholic voters in Pennsylvania. Connecticut, Massachusetts, Illinois, New Jersey, Florida, Maryland, all the major loss confirm Obama's negative definition in the eyes of Catholic voters. However, in his new strategy, Obama decided to win the votes of 3.8 million Catholics of Pennsylvania thanks the support of the most influent man, its Senator. Actually, he is not the only Catholic authority endorsing the so called most "Anti - catholic presidential candidate". A well - known Catholic jurist Douglas Kmiec named Obama as a "Catholic natural", Frances Kissling, former president of Catholics for a Free Choice and Joe Feuerherd, a Catholic reporter are also arguing for Obama. On the other hand, Clinton, who has been blamed by the Catholics for being "not radical enough on abortion", has good opportunities among the white working & class voters and wants to persuade the Catholic population with her plans on universal system of health care, mortgage regulation and other key social issues. Battle Inside Democratic Party Continues by Kamila Moravcikova

If Hillary Clinton wins in Pennsylvania, Indiana, North Carolina or another states, it is likely that it will lead not only into her satisfaction and happiness, but will also cause deep-going tension throughout the whole Democratic Party as her status of likely less successful candidate would change. However, such a tension already exists.Survey carried out by Gallup poll has proved that fifty-two per cent of Democratic voters or people who tend to sympathize with a Democrat's candidate will vote for Obama, leaving Clinton wondering how could be the ten per cent gap bridged in a short time that is available. Obama has also support of 1624 delegates, while only 1499 delegates have decided to back Clinton. Still, it's not enough as the number of 2025 is required to gain a nomination. As it's apparent that none of candidate is going to achieve that, it's superdelegates' & the party officials - turn to make a final decision. And it seems that superdelegates will have to make an extra difficult one. Gone are the days of teeth-showing smiles, waving to the crowd, talking about food and rally sing-alongs. It's boiling inside the Democratic party. Some of insiders insist that Clinton should back off, but neither Clinton, nor Obama and some party members seem to wish such a drop-scene. The grand finale is therefore highly awaited on August, 25-28 in Denver, where the Democratic National Committee will take place. What a pity, that Obama and Clinton will probably not incline the Democratic voters ear to candidate together as they both have their own opinion on who would be Number 1 and become a president. What a pity, because their rough and exhausting inner-party fight and the injuries they both have earned, could easily lead into failing to the most important Democratic task & defeatig Reps' John McCain and after long eight years getting back to the Oval Office.

GOP touts swift action on Craig by Notme dfsfs

The Republican Senator Larry Craig had to resign after 25 years of representing the state of Idaho after being caught in a Minneapolis airport men's room by an undercover police officer engaging in conduct "often used by persons communicating a desire to engage in sexual conduct.'' Craig resigned Saturday over the sex scandal after being pressured by other Republicans worried that elections next year will have disastrous results for them."I apologize for what I have caused. I am deeply sorry," Craig said.Other Republican, GOP Sen. David Vitter, was involved in soliciting from his Washington phone an escort service that it turned out to be a prostitution ring lead by a woman that was accused after that of racketeering.Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., the Senate Republican campaign chairman, said that Craig admitted his guilt, but "David Vitter never did that. Larry Craig did."A Democrat Senator Patrick Leahy said that he doesn't think Republicans will ask Vitter to resign because otherwise he will be replaced with a Democrat, and that isn't their greatest desire. "It's easier to ask Larry Craig to resign because he'd be replaced by a Republican."At first, Craig admitted the charges, but after that he denied any intercourse with the undercover police officer saying he did nothing wrong and "I am not gay. I never have been gay."
