Can we speak of democracy nowdays? Well, hard question, but the answer certainly points to the option – no! As mentioned thousands times ago, the value of our lifetime is an information and if you count the richest men on this planet you will find out they are all doing business in media or advertising branch. Wrong information may cause even the “most” powerful market Wall Street to fall – it can ruin a person, but create the war as well.As getting old, one realizes his or her whole life was about following some information that created the world of fiction. Information create values, characters and social behavior – strange, but true.Some sta! tes declare themselves being democratic – but what does it mean to be democratic? The right to do the business at free will? It seems like this.People, certain groups are fighting for power that unfortunately for them still comes with the elections. Just by this, they are limited by public. Public can be dangerous – it can show its disagreement in many ways. Look at Greece or Finland– the countries have been stuck several times this month. The protests are wasting billions and billions. Politicians have to react immediately.But when we look at the global perspective – the protests are the last action taken by public. And as many times, it's been proven, they are seldom of some use. Some politicians ignore them, they even send military to squeeze the masses, to shot women and children or they stop each source of unwanted information in the country.Sad, but true. That's how is the policy made today.We don't have to go that far for the next of those irr! itating evidences – the Health care reform from American! preside nt Barack Obama. The reform has been in passage for more than a year. Obama and Democrats failed to get serious support for the bill and after 12 months they don't find it.Each relevant poll is showing public disagreement with the proposal. But Obama and the government acts like they don't give a slightest damn about it.They showed the clear message – the bill will be passed.And now, coming back to the beginning and the power of information, the massive advertising campaign has been launched in some of the states. The campaign wasting more than $1 million a day has overflown voters of Senators who refused to sign the document. Business groups are depicting them to be responsible for job-killing if they don't sign.They show it to people. And it is not the only case of business groups – some unions are threatening Senators with their fall in upcoming elections in November.Again, another fight for the opinion has started. And it's coward if politicians can't find th! e support for the bill normal way, if there is something like normal way. They are failing to do this by lobbying so the last step is the fear. It is the fear they are feeding the public, squeezed by the worst unemployment in decades. So far, they didn't provide any reasonable explanation why the refusal of the reform should kill job positions of American people. But the ads have been already in the air.I believe it will come to the passage of the reform at the end. Because public mind can be transformed – one million dollars a day is the least cost of the price. And quoting the singer of Canadians legendary music group Skinny Puppy : “There is no will or power to change the things, because the mass has been already stifled by psychotropic adverts.”
