Yes, we can! American President Barack Obama proved he was the right figure able to sell the foreign U.S. policy. Yes, we are speaking of war. Although his attempts to tear down the walls with Russia, Venezuela and several more potential allies, he didn’t reach more than few handshakes and emotional speeches. To win a Nobel Prize one needs more than to talk about peace. Obama didn’t progress army withdrawal from Iraq and Afghanistan as he promised during his candidacy. Well, this is the situation with a frog in the water – when you drop the frog into the boiling water it will hurt, but if the frog swim in slowly heating water – it won’t feel the difference. The bitter end is guaranteed. Slowly with sinking public attention Obama spoke of war. Now he is speaking more open than ever. Everyone who hoped the Nobel Prize would keep Obama far away from the war expansion can burry his hopes. Obama showed it clearly – the war is inevitable to ! set the peace. He spoke that nonviolent movements could never stop Hitler armies. I wonder whom was he speaking about. However, the world character as the American President broke traditions accompanying the winning celebrations. He blew off the meeting with the King of Norway, talk to the Parliament, a visit with local children. Oslo was split into between two camps. While he was praised by Yes, we can crowd, several thousands of anti-war demonstrants protested against the war. They were not alone – the same demonstration took place within several American cities. Everyone who hoped the Nobel Prize would make up the American image, can burry his hopes. Giving the Prize to the person openly speaking for sake of the war, the credit of the prize fell deep underground. Yes, we can. Let me finish this blog with his words: "Let us reach for the world that ought to be. We can understand that there will be war, and still strive for peace." Why should we?
