American president Barrack Obama is still an important person who is watched by many people. He has to do important steps but also to be careful because everything what he will make wrong can decrease his popularity. Many people are not satisfied with his work to recover from financial crisis. But now people are curious what he will make with the situation in Afghanistan. Obama announced that he will send 30 000 more US Troops to Afghanistan during the coming six months. But this means huge criticism either from liberals or from people who voted him. He will have to convince the people during his speech that sending more soldiers to Afghanistan is a good step. He wants to f! ight against Taliban and Al-Qaida. But people await some plan how the US forces will leave Afghanistan. And there is one important question – when? The critics say that sending US troops to Afghanistan means spending billions of dollars. Every 1000 troops cost approximately one billion dollars per year. So you can count how much will cost 30 000 troops. And how does Obama want to pay for increased troops? The budget deficit is already 1,4 trillion dollars and Obama said that he will try to decrease the deficit. But how? Many people think that sending troops to Afghanistan is not a good idea. They compare Obama with so much criticized former president George Bush. During elections Obama was definitely not like Bush, his plan was to make things in other way. But now it seems that he is very similar to Bush. Bush sent more than 20 000 additional troops to Iraq and he was criticized for this step. Obama plans now to send even more troops. But Obama is doing this becaus! e he wants to reverse Taliban´s power, secure key populat! ion cent ers and then transfer this responsibility to a capable Afghan partner. But until now there is no reliable partner. And people worry when will this mission end.
