GOP Envisions Gephardt as Possible Obama Running Mate by Paulina Neshybova

Senator Barack Obama is going to make a choice for his next running mate. Republican strategists think that he could choose Dick Gephardt, a Former House Democratic Leader. Dick Gephardt is now high ranked and is only the second candidate for a running mate behind Colin Powell. Who would you like to see as an Obama's running mate?Gephardt was a good friend of middle-class workers and laborers and that is the reason, why is he so interesting now for Obama. Probably these voters will pick up Obama, even though they refused him in the primaries. Barack Obama is now intoruducing the ideas of patriotism in his campaign to gain new voters.Middle class workers and laborers are namely not very happy about president Geroge Bush and the Republican party. Mainly because of their policy in Iraq, or other problems, for instance with high gas pricez.According to other strategists, Gephardt is also a good choice for the reason that he has a big support among House Democrats. The Republicans and Bush ally are therefore most afraid of Gephardt entering Obamas cabinet.However, Gephardt himself will probably not show on the tickets although his former aides would like to see him there. He states that they have two great candidates for presidents and that the Democratic party should be satisfied with either of them. But he still thinks that Hilary Clinton is more experienced and she probably knows more about politics and presidency than Barack Obama because of her husband Bill Clinton being a former president.
