Obama versus McCain
by Claudia Sonea

Poor Obama, has barely managed to get rid of Hilary Clinton that he is already in the lions’ pit struggling to survive. This year US Presidential election made spiced people’s life. There were so many controversies and the Democrats had a tight fight between their candidates that politics has never been more entertaining.
Now, despite the fact that I resent Obama for winning over Hilary, I have to confess that he is a much better choice than McCain who promises to continue the work of Bush. Please, what work? Is it to continue the decay of economy and the crash of real estate? The country is burning and the leaders are brushing their hair like nothing happens. The fact that McCain is undergoing a campaign that uses subterfuges like gay marriage shows how low he would get just to be elected president.
Analysts have contradictory opinions on the outcome of the elections, however, most of them (from both parties) see a high chance for Barack Obama to win the popular vote but lose the Electoral College and thus the presidency. The affluent, highly educated and liberal coastal states will vote for Obama, as well as a significant number of people from South, but not enough to bring him the victory. Republican states like Texas or Georgia and North Carolina, Indiana will definitely vote for McCain (although not in such a big number as it did for years ago when Bush was running for presidency). In spite of the popular votes, some think McCain is due to be president.
Due to the increase in Democratic Party enrollment and President Bush’s failures, there are analysts who think Obama is going to bring the Democrats a victory. They give a 50-50 chance to the Presidential competition that is again very tight like it was in the last five elections. Will the American make the right choice or persist in the error of letting the party that led them where they are today to continue its harmful work? Don’t go away more to come.
