Chris Cantell Discusses Politics: Just a Man of Visions...
by Milota Sidorova

One thing's for sure. The American Presidential Election 2008 writes the worldwide history. For the first time, it's a meeting point of female, black man and traditional white American president look alike representative. One must say, that as it has been a visual race, so it has been an ideologist as well.

Exhausting campaigns have paid our international attention, and from time to time we've heard somebody saying, she should win it, women deserve their place in White House. She has a spirit and don't accept being just smart looking elegant figure, an accessory of her powerful husband. It would be a goal for all feminists and women as well.

Or it's quite common to hear that he clearly seems very intelligent, diplomatic and elegant. He's not the one, fighting populist way, gaining federal money and fooling rash promises, as we know, hard to perform later on. We can find ourselves cheering up just even, because he is not Bush and he doesn't want to create an impression of Bush. He promises quit Iraq mission costing so much blood and money.
One can't be wrong, calling him the world superstar. His approach is so close to European traditions and moreover he has such powerful charisma. His performance can calm down, relax and excite. He makes you believe, it is really going to change. The world knows, Americans need a change. The world is fed up with cynic, business and bullying aggression of God bless America. The world is tired of raped meaning of terrorism, showed all around, keeping those almost 305 million frozen in irrational fear.

Europe loves Obama and welcomes him on his oversea campaign in Germany, France and Britain these days. He knows his influence and support here and doesn't hesitate to use it to encourage Americans. While those still have doubts trust the one, too much eccentric, too much out of traditional image of president, Europe would make him a president in that very moment. He is a figure, representing hope for many non white politicians, trying to find their place in highest lines.
It is racial race as well.

Obama is about to speech at Berlin's Victoria Column tomorrow. Today the press is overwhelmed by clearly optimistic and supportive articles. ''Germany Meets the Superstar!'' exactly refers to the mood in the capital. It is big issue for Europe as well as for Germany itself. Juergen Trittin, a leading lawmaker with Germany's opposition Greens, pinpointed the contrast between Obama's tour and Bush's much-protested visits over the years.

"We should be glad that an American is coming who people don't have to demonstrate against," Trittin said on N24 television. "The rest of Europe is jealous that Barack Obama is speaking here in Berlin."
But in a way, it he is just a man, and one must realize, so accept that, (if succeed), not everything will change that slightly as promised. One swallow doesn't make spring. But it is a hope for better times.
Let's believe more peaceful.
