Barack Obama in Baghdad to meet with US commanders
by Radka Konkolova

The situation in Close East is always sweat. So many countries want and try to end the lasting violence and menace of possible war. So they have been willing to help and have sent troops to these countries in order to get this situation better and adjust the convulsions there.

Soldiers and troops from almost all richer and developed states of the world are on the mission and do hard work for citizens of these lands. They fight against the terrorism every day, foil mines and other explosives, so their work is very acquisitive, but very risky and dangerous at the same time and need lots of patience, courage and countenance, too. So this is one of the reasons why some countries of the world think about the withdraw of their troops from this area. So do some of the officials from the US.

The US Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama is visiting these countries these days and negotiate with official about the situation and its possible solution. His road with two American senators who are also the part of this „expedition“, started in Kuwait, next it continued to Afghanistan and today, Monday, July 21, 2008 it will finish in Iraq.

Obama has wanted to go there in order to see the occured problems on his own sight and also because he wanted to prove his biggest rival, John McCain, that he know the situation well and is capable to solve it. He sees that soldiers have helped the inhabitants of Iraq significantly but he also thinks that they should be withdraw and send home or at least displaces fom Iraq to Afghanistan which has been recently changing to a centre of terrorism, so it needs aid more than Iraq.

The citizens of countries he has been visiting probably haven’t seen him because of very strict security measurement, but many of them as well as most of officials wish Barack Obama to be elected in this year election. It is because they are confident he understands them because of different colour of skin (because black people were tyranizzed in the US in the past) and because of his democratic, social and human opinions and aproach. Although opinions about the troops shrink differs widely among people, because one groups thinks it is still need and according to another one’s opinion they could be already away from there.

Obama will plan to shrink the troops from Iraq within 16 months after his presidential turn-out, when he is elected in November elections. But at first he wants to send one or two brigades, what means about 10,000 soldiers to Afghanistan to train Afghan troops and to fight against spreading terorism and Taliban and Al-Qaida militants, who are trying to do still more and more attacks. On the other hand, Obama’s rival, McCain supports the war in Iraq, so Iraqs hope he won’t win elections, because he is supposedly not as peaceful as Obama is. Even some American officials claim Obama’s decision is not realisitic and he will never reach this.

I don’t know who is right, but I think it is very important not only for people living in these countries, soldiers, but certainly for the whole world to eliminate terroristic threats, attacks and terrorism as a whole. But probably this is impossible, because you can ever find someone who hates world and other people and wants to kill them no matter on his death. I really can’t understand the thinking about such fanatic people. And probably I don’t want to. But they should realize they have got no law to decide about other, innocent people’s lives...
