Chris Cantell Discusses Politics: Obama seals nomination
by Lucia Hrusovska
Primary elections, which have been taking place in the United States of America for the last several months are definitely finished. Now all Americans and also the rest of the world know names of the two final men, who are now going two candidate directly for the post of the president of the United States of America, the most powerful country on the earth. Barack Obama became the person who won primary elections over his rival from the democratic floor, senator of New York and former first lady of USA, Hillary Rodham Clinton. This 17-month long marathon was really very hard and both candidates tried to do their best for all the time of the battle. Senator of Illinois, Barack Obama sealed up his marathon for the Democratic presidential nomination Tuesday. This end means for whole history of the elections in USA a huge step as there is a chance that black man may become a head of this country for the first time. A certain time back, the victory of Obama's campaign seemed more then very unexpected. However, this is not true any more and Obama, as a legal winner, should now focus on his rival John McCain. John McCain, who is a 71-year old former senator of Arizona and unlike Obama, he is also an inveterate supporter of the current military mission in Iraq, is eager for the upcoming duel with 46-year old opponent. This battle is going to last another 5 months before we know the name of the nation's 44th president.
