Obama Plays Basketball Before Indiana and North Carolina Primaries
by Milota Sidorova
Everyone has its own passion. Someone prefers glorious food, the other one charity work or fashion, music and some dedicate themselves to sport. However, one doesn't have to care about other's leisure time, unless publicly known person or celebrity. In a way, a spare time of every VIP molds the image of a person, not to mention how wide range for bulvar does it provide. From this time, oridanry training or creative activity sends an important message to public and can be really useful tool for example, a political campaign. And that's how it is. We all know long distance presidential run in America. Sort of quite unusual race among black Obama, Hilary – the Woman and traditional despite little bit confused McCain.Calling them that, I must say I am not trying to be rasistic neither discriminating at all. Getting focused on Democratic challengers, secular leadership of Illiois senator Barrack Obama seems to retreat down to Hillary's score. After loosing Pennsylvania primaries, both of the candidates appear to start again from the point of zero. However, the emotions tighten up by upcoming stretch in August.Considering it as a part of well planned strategy, Obama starts to play basketball. Although skinny senator calls it his 'first love', his hobby has never been known since last week, when he played private basketball match with a group of aides, friends and only two journalists.Following reports depicted him as confident, competitive player who can admit his own mistakes. Moreover, 'playing basketball makes you accesible in a way, that not many can reach', said Eric Hauser, a Democratic strategist who worked for Bradley, who between the lines, personally played basketball.Obama playing one of the most popular American sports, can be seen more soften than his current cool and aloof image. And one can't wonder, if he plays just week before Indiana and North Carolina primaries, both 'basketball crazy states'.At the end of striky despite elegant match, held in Pittsburgh'sYMCA center, he assumed a political statement of it all. "Nah," he said with a wan and sweaty smile, "I just love to play this game." Well, everyone loves its own. Ronald Reagan was an actor with no political education, Kennedy used to play touch football and Nixon bowled. There's really nothing to be ironical about Obama's passion for basketball.
