Clinton keeps fighting
by Zuzana Zelenakova

On Tuesday the results of presidential primary in Pennsylvania were announced and supporters of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton had a reason to celebrate. Clinton won over another Democrats´ candidate Barack Obama and proved she really deserves to be part of this race. After Ohio, New York and California it is another of her big states victories in a row. With 99 percent of all votes counted Clinton with 55 percent was ahead of Omaba with his 45 percent. “We were up against a formidable opponent who outspent us 3-to-1. He broke every spending record in this state trying to knock us out of the race. Well, people of Pennsylvania had other ideas today,” said Clinton to the cheering crowd hinting at the amount of money Barack Obama spent on television propaganda in Pennsylvania. It was over $11 million, lot more than in other states, while Clinton made do with $5 million. The Senator of Illinois, who gained votes mainly from African Americans and more solvent citizens, congratulated Clinton to her victory and expressed his gratitude to Pennsylvania voters but otherwise seemed not to take much notice of the primary´s results and moved on to Indiana. When it comes to the financial matters of the campaigns Hillary Clinton´s budget is in much worse state than that of Obama who apparently has enough cash in his pockets. That is also the reason why the atmosphere in Clinton´s campaign is rather tense according to the senior advisers. She confirmed herself the financial distress and subsequently urged her supporters to contribute on her website. Around $500.000 was raised in first hour. “Some people counted me out and said to drop out, but the American people don´t quit, and they deserve a president who doesn´t quit, either,” she said.
