McCain's plans for future
by Sandra Stoklaskova
U.S. presidential bid is going on and all candidates are trying their best to achieve the success in this competition. Both Democrats and Republicans are raising funds for their campaigning and for attracting potential voters. McCain have not raised as much money for his campaign in comparison to his Democratic rivals. Barack Obama raised $55 million and Hillary Clinton less, approximately $35 million, but the smallest amount was from McCain, it was $12 million. On the other hand main goal on his meetings is to have a personal contact with voters.McCain's present focus is to raise more money and maybe also gain a new fundraisers. As a gesture of acknowledgment to his previous faundraisers, he invited them and several senators, governors and journalists to his ranch for a barbecue. Just like this he would like to knock over less attention, which is given to him. "It makes me to work harder, to make sure that we maintain the visibility," said McCain. His another aim is to find a running mate and raise the money to be able to compete with Obama and Clinton in the general election.Next steps in his focus-list are also interesting. He plans to meet next week with Republican congressional leaders to discuss his role. Than he would like to introduce the public specific policy proposals. And one of his goal, and not the last one, is also to focus on the war, as he hopes to visit Iraq or Afghanistan, soon.We have to watch his steps carefully to make sure if he accomplished defined aims.
