Edwards talks tough at Clinton Notme
In a four day tour bus through New Hampshire, John Edwards started criticizing his Democratic rivals, specially Hillary Rodham Clinton but without mentioning her name.In a speech at Dartmouth College he said: "Real change starts with being honest, and I want to say something again: The system in Washington is rigged, and I'll say it again, it's rigged and it's rigged by greedy powers. It's rigged by the system to favor the establishment."The former North Caroline senator condemns the Clinton era politics referring to the Lincoln Bedroom when campaign donors were allowed to stay there in the 1990s."The American people deserve to know that their presidency is not for sale, the Lincoln Bedroom is not for rent," Edwards said.Kathleen Strand, a spokeswoman for Hillary Clinton said that these kinds of angry attacks would not improve Sen. Edwards' flagging campaign: "Sen. Clinton has the leadership and experience to make real change happen, and she has been fighting for American families for 35 years."In the tour, Edwards is traveling with his wife and their three children, letting the bus to the strains of Sheryl Crow's "A Change Will Do You Good."Asked about his comment related to the Lincoln Bedroom he replied: "I'm not holier than thou about this. I have personally raised millions of dollars as a presidential candidate. What I'm talking about is what's happened in the past through multiple administrations."
