This year's U.S. presidential election seems to be unpredictable. While John McCain has gained the position of a front-runner among the Republicans, the Democrats are still struggling to choose their common favorite. Obviously, that creates a perfect situation for both democratic candidates, Illinois senator Barrack Obama, and the former first lady, New York senator Hillary Clinton, who is, so far, a slight step ahead. According to the poll, 80% of voters in Maryland and Virginia think the country is ready to elect either a black or a woman to the White House. But there is about one third of blacks in democratic electorate, and it is a good question, whether the black candidate would have the same support in other countries. However, despite being one-time front-runner, Clinton appears to be in the midst of a difficult period. Her campaign manager announced earlier that she was stepping down. Lending $5 million her own campaign leads us to concerns of a trouble she might be having trying to fight off her Afro-American rival. "I have the highest regard for him. He was my friend before this started, and he will be my friend going into the future," said he former First Lady about Obama, despite his strong challenge for the nomination. On the other hand, her chief strategist said "Hillary Clinton has a coalition of voters well-suited to winning the general election," because she has the advantage of appealing to women voters, and also Hispanics.
