Rudy Giuliani wants to move from Mayor to President next year
by Corina Ciubotaru

The presidential elections are next year in America, and Rudy Giuliani is one of the candidates. I don't know much about the man, but it seems to me that anyone who can run a city like New York, with millions of the most varied residents ever encountered, can do a good job at the head of the United States. He had his own radio show after he got elected mayor and he gave people advice on the most varied topics, so he is one that cares for his people and their well-being. He seems not afraid to speak his mind and this is something I think is necessary for a leader, especially if he leads of the most powerful country in the world. He would probably enforce strict security policies; he had a weapons control program in New York when he was mayor, so he realizes the importance of domestic safety. And even though he is accused by his opponents of not taking seriously some aspects of the 9/11 tragedy, he is still the man who wasn't scared when faced with the tragedy, who appeared on TV and comforted frightened Americans and who did a good and fast job of getting the city back on track. He is used to having his life analyzed and criticized so he won't be surprised when the entire world starts commenting on every external politics move he makes. I know he uses 9/11 as his main argument and that he has no experience with external relations, but he has a good chance of being the right-minded President the U.S. need right now.
